So, this is where my cakes from Nordthy end up

Børge Lukassen, who founded the cake success in 1966, recently visited Greenland to see some of the supermarkets he still packs sweets for.

Even if you're 76 years old and have been in the cake business for 53 years, you can still experience something new on the cake front. For example, seeing your company name in a shop very far away from home.

This happened recently to Børge Lukassen, who founded B. Lukassens Kager in 1966 - what is now called Nordthy and is now mostly owned by his sons, Lars and Søren Lukassen.

- Our father still works here. He's in the warehouse packing goods for Greenland, where we are in all of the country's 100 or so supermarkets. He's been doing this for 20 years, but this fall he went up for the first time to find our own products on the shelves in Greenland," says Søren Lukassen.

Søren Lukassen and Nordthy Sales Manager Hans Peter Skjødt were on the trip with Børge Lukassen, who accompanied him around 15 stores - and could see him adjusting the products in one Pisiffik supermarket after another.

Børge Lukassen has handed Nordthy over to his two sons. In connection with the generational change a year and a half ago, Lars and Søren Lukassen came to own a combined 51 percent of the shares, while investor Erik From holds the remaining 49 percent.

Lars and Søren Lukassen both act as directors. Lars has the main responsibility for contact with suppliers, while Søren is responsible for sales.
